Why Quality Matters in Agent Ads
Agent recommendations carry more trust than banner inventory. A low-quality ad in a workflow can damage the publisher, the agent, and the user experience quickly.
That is why a pure highest-bid auction is the wrong default for agent ads. A better auction accounts for:
- Commercial bid or payout value.
- Relevance to the current task and intent category.
- Advertiser trust, review history, and destination quality.
- Creative clarity, disclosure fit, and policy safety.
- Publisher controls and blocked categories.
Genesis normalizes different revenue models into a comparable expected value, then weights that value by relevance and trust. Higher-quality advertisers should be able to beat higher bids when they are more useful to the user and safer for the publisher.
This model also creates better incentives. Advertisers improve landing pages, claims, categories, and Offer Unit quality. Publishers get better recommendations. Users see fewer irrelevant sponsored suggestions.
