MCP Monetization for Agent Builders

MCP gives agents a standard way to call external tools. For monetization, that means recommendations should be requested intentionally, not injected into every response.

Good Genesis MCP usage follows four rules:

  • Call the recommendation tool only when the user is evaluating a relevant product, API, workflow, vendor, or service.
  • Send contextual categories and non-sensitive intent signals instead of raw personal data.
  • Keep sponsored suggestions short, useful, and visibly labeled.
  • Track impressions and clicks so publisher earnings, advertiser spend, and analytics can reconcile.

The agent should remain in control of whether an offer is relevant enough to show.
